Expected results:

  • C2 = 40
  • C3 = 90
  • C4 = 150
  • C5 = 300

How it works

Explanation: The weights are tested from the smallest limit upwards, so each parcel gets the first limit it fits under.
Syntax: =IFS(B2<=1,40,B2<=5,90,B2<=10,150,TRUE,300)
0.5 kg is 40. 4 kg is 90. 8 kg is 150. 12 kg is above 10, so 300.

IFS syntax

=IFS(logical_test1, value1, [logical_test2, value2], ...)

Checks multiple conditions in order and returns the value for the first one that's true. IFS is used to build decision rules directly into a spreadsheet instead of manually judging each row. Full IFS guide.
