"Advanced Excel" means different things on different websites. Here is a clear list of what the term should cover, so you can judge any course, including ours.
Advanced Excel topics
- Power Query. Import data from files and folders, clean it with clicks, and refresh a report with one button.
- Data model and relationships. Connect several tables without VLOOKUP.
- Power Pivot and DAX. Measures, CALCULATE, filter context and time intelligence for KPIs like year to date.
- Advanced pivot tables and charts. Grouping, Show Values As, slicers, timelines, PivotCharts, waterfall and Pareto charts.
- Interactive dashboards. KPI cards, selectors and dynamic charts that update when you change a choice.
- Macros and VBA. Record a macro, then write simple code to automate a monthly report.
Who needs advanced Excel?
MIS executives, business and data analysts, finance and accounts teams, sales operations and anyone who builds the same report every week. If you spend hours copying, cleaning and pasting data, these tools can cut that time a lot.
What to know before you start
You should be comfortable with core formulas (SUMIFS, IF, lookups) and basic pivot tables. If not, begin with a foundations course first.
