By Rinkesh Shah, founder of Cellgrids.

The question

A blank Delivery days cell means the order is still pending. Using COUNT and COUNTA, find the share of orders delivered (as a decimal) and put it in B7.

The data

AB
1OrderDelivery days
2O-13
3O-2
4O-35
5O-42
6O-54
7% delivered?

The yellow cell is where your answer goes.

Show answer

Answer in B7: 0.8

How it works

Explanation: COUNT gives the orders that have a delivery time, and COUNTA gives all the orders. Dividing one by the other gives the share.
Syntax: =COUNT(B2:B6)/COUNTA(A2:A6)
Delivered: 4 orders have numbers. Total orders: 5. 4 / 5 = 0.8 (80%).
