A certificate does not replace skill. But a clear, verifiable certificate shows a recruiter that you completed a structured test, and it gives you something to put on LinkedIn and your CV.
What makes a certificate useful
- A real test. Timed, with questions that check if you can use Excel, not only remember names.
- Verification. A unique number or QR code so anyone can check it is genuine.
- Clear scope. It says what you were tested on.
- Honest wording. A good provider does not claim to be Microsoft.
How to prepare
- Revise core formulas: SUM, IF, COUNTIF, SUMIF, lookups.
- Practise with timed questions in a live sheet.
- Learn the common mistakes: wrong references, text numbers, extra spaces.
- Take a mock test before the real one.
Cellgrids certification
You can take the Cellgrids Excel Certification exam directly, or take a Cellgrids course. Learners who pass a course test take that course's certification exam at no extra charge. Each certificate has a unique number and a QR code that opens a public verify page.
